I grew up with a great passion for cattle and the agricultural way of living I come from a long line of farming and ranching. I was set on returning to the farm after graduating from Kansas State University with a degree in Animal Science as well as a minor in Agronomy in 2015.
Our family farm is diverse- we raise corn, soybeans, milo, hay, and cover crops. On the livestock side, we have a cow-calf and feedlot finishing operation. I really enjoy the genetic side of things. Selecting bulls that fit the herd genetic program is a fun challenge for me. I especially enjoy being able to see the progress that we are making in calving ease, the docility of our cows, and the growth and vigor of our calves from birth all the way through to the finishing phase in the feedlot. The most rewarding part is hearing the wonderful remarks from people who have purchased our beef.
This is reassurance that our hard work is paying off!
